MARLBOROUGH, MA - Wakefly, Inc. partnered with American Vacuum Society (AVS) to redesign their website to be a modern experience, telling the historic story of their business and showcasing its complete suite of capabilities. The site was built using Kentico. The redesign included a restructuring of content, making it easier for the AVS team to create new content, as well as manage and edit existing content. Wakefly leveraged Kentico for the CMS, as AVS was already using an older version of Kentico. Our deep expertise with Kentico was one of the reasons AVS came to Wakefly.

American Vacuum Society (AVS) is an international community of scientists, engineers, and instrument manufacturers, which strives to promote research and communicate knowledge in the important areas of surface, interface, vacuum, and thin film science and technology for the advancement of humankind. In 1953, 56 people from diverse technical backgrounds, gathered in New York City to consider the need for a forum to discuss problems and applications of high vacuum technology. Six days later, the Committee on Vacuum Techniques was formally organized with the mandate to initiate a symposium and develop programs for education and for standards. The first symposium was held June 16-18, 1954 and attracted 295 registrants from several countries.
