A few weeks ago, Wakefly attended C3 2015, Conductor’s annual digital marketing conference in New York City. We met in New York City October 28-29 with thousands of professionals to share innovate tips and tricks in all areas of digital marketing.
The Wakefly Lounge
This year Wakefly attended as an agency partner, which allowed us to set up a small lounge area to meet and greet with other attendees. To keep our visitors entertained, we brought Forza, an interactive and extremely realistic racing game, along with a racing wheel.
As if the game wasn’t a big enough draw, we decided to giveaway an Xbox One to the attendee with the fastest lap time. This quickly turned into a heated competition with attendees waiting to try to take the top spot on our leaderboard. One driver even became a conference celebrity after topping the leaderboard for the entire first day!
We used the hashtag #winwithwakefly to tie our contest and social media presence during the event together. By the end of the event, the buzz around our lounge grew so big that both Conductor’s CEO and Vice President came by to take a lap around the track!

In addition to our main attraction, we also supplied the essentials – pens, bottle openers, and of course 5 hour energy (for those who didn’t have enough time to wait in the coffee line!)
C3 is a great conference because there are always industry thought leaders hosting breakout session and keynotes. Unlike most conferences, these sessions are geared towards everyone from the brand new junior on your team looking to learn the fundamentals to your most experiences team member. The Searchie Awards
Every Year Conductor gives out 10 Searchie Awards to individuals and companies who use the Conductor platform. This year, Wakefly is proud to announce that our very own Ren Lacerda was awarded the Searchlight Power User Award! Congratulations Ren!
The Overall Experience
Overall, C3 is a great conference if you are looking to learn and talk to the “doers” of the industry. It’s not full of people trying to sell you things or brands trying to convince you to use their platform. It’s full of people who are there just trying to share what they know.
There is great food, great entertainment (on the USS Intrepid!) and even better company.
We can’t wait for next year!
