Do all users have equal access to your web content and functionality?

Website Accessibility

As the web becomes more integrated with our everyday lives, the accessibility of your site becomes even more important. Over the last several years, recommendations, rules, and regulations have been developed in the area of web accessibility, providing equal access and opportunity to people with disabilities. Barriers to print, audio, and visual media can be easily overcome through proper planning and technologies. Given the pace that websites and the internet are changing, these barriers are often overlooked.

Wakefly offers 2 levels of accessibility audits:

  • Tier 1 Audit: The Tier 1 Audit looks broadly at your site to determine where major barriers exist.
  • Tier 2 Audit: The Tier 2 Audit includes the broad look for major barriers, but also includes page by page review of key paths on your website such as checkout process, online support, and others depending on your specific needs.

An accessible website also provides flexibility to meet different users’ needs, preferences, and situations regardless of whether they have a disability or not. It is beneficial to people with slow internet connections, temporary challenges, as well as those with age-related obstacles. Google is starting to prioritize web accessibility compliance as well when it comes to ranking factors and should be considered when addressing SEO.

At the end of this project, the following deliverables may be provided and are dependent on the approach and purpose identified at the beginning of the project: Accessibility Report, Recommendation Summary.
