Wakefly Successfully Launches Web Initiative for Longfellow Benefits

Web Initiative for Longfellow Benefits

Westborough, Mass. – November 1, 2006 - Wakefly, an innovative, award-winning web development and marketing firm specializing in integrated marketing communications, announced that Longfellow Benefits has gone live with a new site designed and built by Wakefly.  This new web site enables Longfellow Benefits to sell their services while offering their customers improved service.

The objectives of the project were to:
Introduce the company to site visitors, and clearly showcase its services
Answer questions site visitors may have such as, “Why should I buy services from Longfellow Benefits instead of ….”; and

  • Build the site to enable Longfellow Benefits to modify, add, and delete pages and content without having to be trained in a web programming language.

One of the unique features of the site is the WEBenefits portal, a private site where Longfellow’s customers have round the clock access to view plan details, access helpful resources and compare benefits plans.  Plan administrators now have an easy to use, web based, dynamic system that allows them to quickly set up new plans and adjust existing ones, improving customer service and information exchange.

“From the start, we knew that Wakefly understood what we were trying to accomplish on our new website”, said Carol-Ann Bond, Director of Operations at Longfellow Benefits.  “We needed to provide our clients with a resource for all their employee benefit needs to include time sensitive information and an employee portal for access to company-specific employee benefits.  The design and implementation of our WEBenefits portal far exceeded our expectations and has been extremely well received by our clients.  I know that whatever future needs we may have, we can turn to Wakefly to meet them.”

“In addition to upgrading Longfellow’s brand, enabling its customers to self-serve was an important business goal of the site,” said Joe DeVries, technical director at Wakefly.  “Utilizing the latest web development and content management technologies, we were able to deliver a powerful, customized solution within the budget and the timeframe.  Like Wakefly, customer service is a huge priority for Longfellow Benefits, and the system we built delivers that.”
