Since our inception in 2002, Wakefly has always taken the opportunity to give back to the local community. Our very first philanthropic endeavors were with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay and the Westborough Food Pantry. As the company has grown, so has our involvement with other organizations. Wakefly works with many organizations and provides employees with the opportunity to volunteer during the work day to contribute. We are proud to share that Wakefly employees contribute hundreds of hours per month helping our local communities at the following organizations:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay

One of Wakefly’s core values is the importance of investing in our youth.  Throughout Wakefly’s history, the continued growth of the firm has provided opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs to advance themselves by working together.

Since 2013, Wakefly has joined an impressive list of firms and individuals to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay in support of their philanthropic mission.

For the past three years, Wakefly has been a proud sponsor of Big Night Boston. Big Night is the largest of many successful fundraising events that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay hold each year. Wakefly has been a Gold Sponsor at Big Night for the past two years; having raised over $75,000 in support for the over 2,000 matches currently in place in the Massachusetts community.

We are honored to stand among the organizations that support the good people at BBBS and firmly believe in their mission to help young adults gain the skills required to reach new heights in life, through caring mentorship.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters

For more than 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay has worked to ensure that every child has the support from caring adults that they need for healthy development and success in life. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 7 through high school graduation, in communities across Massachusetts Bay. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Their mission is to provide children who lack positive adult role models with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships with caring, responsible adults that change their lives for the better, forever.
