Hi, I’m Meredith, part of your digital marketing team here at Wakefly.
Today I would like to talk to you about 2 tools you should be using for your business’ online presence: Moz local and Google local.
The days of the physical, bulky yellow pages are all but gone and replaced by various online directories. These directories help searchers find valuable contact information, product information and directions that will drive site traffic and conversions.
Let’s start with Moz Local: managing the multiple online business listings out there which feature your business information such as name, phone number, address, and website can be time consuming and costly. With Moz local, business information is entered once and then sent out to the various listings search engines care about most; saving you time and money.
Similar to Moz local, Google local includes the same business contact information, but with the addition of photos, videos, and reviews. Also, Google local can be linked to any other Google products, such as Google+ and Adwords, for added benefit. Google may have a smaller user base compared to rival social media platforms, but is very powerful within Google search. The information on your Google+ page may appear within your search result, including reviews and photos.
Both Moz local and Google local are great tools your company can utilize to keep your listings current and well maintained.
