Not sure where this year has gone, but somehow we already find ourselves well into the final quarter of 2008. And once again, it’s time to find that balance between pulling in sales that will contribute to a successful quarter, letting some slide for a good start next year, and planning on where to take the strategy in 2009. As marketers, we’re responsible first and foremost with driving sales; it’s our tough task to generate qualified leads for the sales team to close (and hopefully quickly, at that). So while you’re planning your lead generation activities for 2009, here’s some food for thought:
- What is the value of a lead for you?
- Where are your leads currently coming from?
- What is the most effective source channel?
