Situation

Longfellow Benefits is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's experienced, diversified, in-house team of professionals helps its clients with group benefits, executive benefits, supplemental coverages, retirement planning, business continuity planning, estate analysis, and investment strategies. Longfellow Benefits approached Wakefly with a desire to design and develop a new website that would easily educate its target markets, support its clients and sales team, provide an easy means of updating, and generate qualified leads.

Solution

Wakefly worked with Longfellow Benefits to design and develop a new website based on the DotNetNuke content management system. The homepage of the website immediately delineates the company's capabilities, which when clicked take the browser to a page dedicated to the respective capability. The company's positioning statement is also immediately noticeable within the homepage design, as are the most recent news and events from the company. In order to better serve its employees, an employee portal was built that allows employees to access downloadable documents and complete surveys. The portal is protected via a unique username and password for each employee. A second portal that was specific to Longfellow Benefits customers was also implemented. This portal dynamically displayed information depending on the client. Both portals were managed through the DotNetNuke content management system.
